1 min read 83 words

Overview

Settings

An SKU code is the unique identifier for each item. It is generated from your classification, and prefix settings control the numbering format used on documents.

Steps

  1. Configure document and number formats under Settings > Prefix Settings.
  2. When you create an item, its SKU is built from the commodity group and sub group.
  3. Keep your brand type/group/sub group setup consistent so SKUs stay meaningful and unique.

Tips

  • A well-designed SKU scheme makes items easy to find, scan and report on.
